The Office

Wade Architectural Systems (WAS) offers quality, affordable architectural metal panels. Our main office is located just outside of Houston, Texas, with additional representation in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, and North Carolina's. We employ a team of seasoned professionals that have expertise in metal wall, roofing and ceiling design to assist both design and construction teams in selecting and procuring the most appropriate system to suit your project needs.

Our company partners with industry leaders who produce high-quality metal systems to offer solutions for visually pleasing exteriors, balanced with installation strategies that are more cost-effective than others. We offer assistance to the design team in selection of systems that will help the project comply with LEED certification requirements and training programs to installers through some of our key manufacturing partners. WAS is also a registered AIA CES continuing education provider, which provides us the ability to better serve architects and specifiers by offering courses that help to answer common questions related to our products.

Take A Moment to Meet Our Team

Bill Wade

Bill Wade co-founded WAS with his father, Lisle Wade, in 1988. He holds an engineering degree from Auburn University and had a number of construction jobs during his college summers. Job titles included iron worker, panel erector and an industrial chimney sweep (that one was bad). He spent 3 ½ years in sales for Xerox prior to starting WAS.

Bill enjoys working with architects in the building design phase, the competitive bid process and working with installers to see a quality finished project. Sometimes we only get past stage 1 or 2 but that’s the way things go!

Bill enjoys skiing, fishing, cross training, and reading books with lots of pictures during his time off.

Lisle Wade

Lisle Wade is a graduate of West Virginia University with an Industrial Engineering degree. After four years with Alcoa he spent the next 25 years in the metal roofing and siding business – primarily with Elwin G. Smith (one of the Centria companies).

After holding numerous positions and moving up through the ranks (his children thought he was a migrant fruit picker), Lisle moved to Pittsburgh where he served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. In 1981, an opportunity presented itself with Moncrief-Lenoir and he moved the family to Houston. After the sale of Moncreif-Lenoir in 1987 and a one year non-compete clause, Lisle and his son Bill started Wade Architectural Systems.

Now in semi-retirement, reflecting on the last 25 years brings a great sense of satisfaction to Lisle in the number of customers and suppliers who are also friends. He feels great pride in the successes of WAS and anticipates another prosperous 25+ years for the company for Bill, Peter, and the entire WAS family.

Lisle has an adventurous spirit and has explored parts of the world that most of us have only dreamed of. When at home, Lisle enjoys golfing and playing tennis.

Peter Parnham

Working with Wade Architectural Systems since 2003 in design, sales, estimating and project management.

Peter arrived in Texas and at Wade Architectural Systems as fast as he could, born in  the United Kingdom with stops in the Cayman Islands and Aruba.

Peter really enjoys working with architects to select the appropriate products and work with great sub-contractors that provide a high quality install for a project that everyone can be proud of.

Clay Shambley joined Wade Architectural Systems in October of 2017.  He has a BS in Civil Engineering from North Carolina Sate University.  Lisle Wade hired and trained Clay as a Sales Engineer for E.G. Smith (now Centria) in 1978.  Clay has spent his entire career in the metal panel industry including National Sales Manager at Moncrief Lenoir (also with Lisle) and VP of Sales and Marketing at AEP Span.  In 1990, Clay established SPS of North Carolina and served as President and Owner until selling the business in 2011.

Clay is excited about reuniting with old friend and mentor Lisle Wade, and looks forward to bringing the Wade Architectural Systems brand to the Carolinas.

In his spare
time, Clay enjoys playing golf (especially spirited matches with his 3 sons)
and traveling with his wife Anne.

Christy Serafini

With a background in Residential Construction and Engineering, Christy Serafini started at Wade Architectural Systems (WAS) as an Administrative Assistant in 2003. In 2006, realizing Christy was not being used to the best of her abilities, she was promoted to Project Manager and Sales. Since that time, Christy has taken on various roles and positions for the company and is now considered WAS’ Business Manager. However, she continues finding time to quote projects and still loves the thrill of a big sale!

Christy wears a lot of hats at WAS! Above all, her main goal is good customer service. That requires making sure projects run as smoothly as possible as well as assist contractors with any issues that may arise and maintain good communication between supplier, Architect, contractor and installer.

At times it appears Christy is married to this job, but when she does take a break, she enjoys spending time with her “actual” husband and daughters, relaxing at the lake with a good book, or in front of the TV watching football. Go Houston Texans!!

Cynthia Ortiz

Cynthia Ortiz joined Wade Architectural Systems in 2014.  She loves to collaborate with architects and designers to help them find the right product for their project designs, and enjoys providing product presentations and educational CEU’s.  Cynthia has supported the Architectural and Design community for 15 years with various architectural products.  She maintains her LEED AP certification in order to better understand and support the goals of sustainable design.

In her spare time, Cynthia loves simple things!  She loves being at home, having fun with family and friends, watching football, yoga and weight-training, coordinating Financial Peace University classes, and the occasional opportunity to use her sign language skills.

He is a 2007 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Spatial Science, where he learned all about Environmental, GIS, Remote Sensing and worked as a Research Assistant.

Marco’s previous experience includes work as a Parking Consultant (no, not teaching you how to park your oversized vehicle), designing parking structure layouts for Walter P. Moore Engineering. He also has experience in manufacturing, inventory and international logistics

Marco is sometimes allowed to play outside (when he’s been good), enjoying running, biking, pumping iron and then cooking up a hard-earned delicious meal.

Brian Selig

Brian joined WAS in 2015.  He has undergraduate and masters degrees from the University of Houston. GO COOGS! Since 2000, he has provided exterior cladding solutions while building relationships with the contractor and architect communities in Texas and Louisiana.  Born in Chicago, Brian has been a Cubs fan since childhood.  The many years of struggle prepared him for life in the construction business.  Since 2016, he has a new sense of optimism and is generally more pleasant to be around in October.  When not at work, Brian enjoys watching movies, making a mess in the kitchen and talking his wife out of getting new pets.

Lauren Serafini

Lauren Serafini started as a summer intern in 2015 as an administrative assistant, filling in as needed and working on specific administrative projects.  Starting the summer of 2018, Lauren began working part time while she attends college at the University of Houston. Laurens major is “undeclared”, but she likes to tell people she’s going to take over the Business Managers position once they retire.

When Lauren is not at work or school she enjoys traveling around Texas going to music concerts. Laurens also is a huge fan of College football and the Houston Astros!

In loving memory:

Traci was an integral part of the WAS family for 9 years as our administrative assistant. When she answered the phones you could hear the smile in her voice. She kept us in line, up to date and often in stitches from her outrageous sense of humor. Traci lost her long fought battle with Breast Cancer in September 2015, and although she is missed we were all blessed to have had her as our friend, co-worker and family.
