Bill Wade

Bill Wade

Bill Wade co-founded WAS with his father, Lisle Wade, in 1988. He holds an engineering degree from Auburn University and had a number of construction jobs during his college summers. Job titles included iron worker, panel erector and an industrial chimney sweep (that one was bad). He spent 3 ½ years in sales for Xerox prior to starting WAS.

Bill enjoys working with architects in the building design phase, the competitive bid process and working with installers to see a quality finished project. Sometimes we only get past stage 1 or 2 but that’s the way things go!

Bill enjoys skiing, fishing, cross training, and reading books with lots of pictures during his time off.

Lisle Wade

Lisle Wade

Lisle Wade is a graduate of West Virginia University with an Industrial Engineering degree. After four years with Alcoa he spent the next 25 years in the metal roofing and siding business – primarily with Elwin G. Smith (one of the Centria companies).

After holding numerous positions and moving up through the ranks (his children thought he was a migrant fruit picker), Lisle moved to Pittsburgh where he served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. In 1981, an opportunity presented itself with Moncrief-Lenoir and he moved the family to Houston. After the sale of Moncreif-Lenoir in 1987 and a one year non-compete clause, Lisle and his son Bill started Wade Architectural Systems.

Now in semi-retirement, reflecting on the last 25 years brings a great sense of satisfaction to Lisle in the number of customers and suppliers who are also friends. He feels great pride in the successes of WAS and anticipates another prosperous 25+ years for the company for Bill, Peter, and the entire WAS family.

Lisle has an adventurous spirit and has explored parts of the world that most of us have only dreamed of. When at home, Lisle enjoys golfing and playing tennis.

Christy Serafini

Christy Serafini

With a background in Residential Construction and Engineering, Christy Serafini started at Wade Architectural Systems (WAS) as an Administrative Assistant in 2003. In 2006, realizing Christy was not being used to the best of her abilities, she was promoted to Project Manager and Sales. Since that time, Christy has taken on various roles and positions for the company and is now considered WAS’ Business Manager. However, she continues finding time to quote projects and still loves the thrill of a big sale!

Christy wears a lot of hats at WAS! Above all, her main goal is good customer service. That requires making sure projects run as smoothly as possible as well as assist contractors with any issues that may arise and maintain good communication between supplier, Architect, contractor and installer.

At times it appears Christy is married to this job, but when she does take a break, she enjoys spending time with her “actual” husband and daughters, relaxing at the lake with a good book, or in front of the TV watching football. Go Houston Texans!!

In loving memory:

Traci was an integral part of the WAS family for 9 years as our administrative assistant. When she answered the phones you could hear the smile in her voice. She kept us in line, up to date and often in stitches from her outrageous sense of humor. Traci lost her long fought battle with Breast Cancer in September 2015, and although she is missed we were all blessed to have had her as our friend, co-worker and family.
